Online lending terms and conditions;

 

These terms and conditions apply to all personal term loans. Other specific terms and conditions may apply to this credit agreement between Health Services Staffs Credit Union Limited (‘we’/’us’) and the borrower or accountholder (‘you’).

 

1. Repayments

 

The account holder must agree to repay the loan and the interest at regular intervals over a specified term. Unless otherwise agreed, term Loans are subject to regular repayments (weekly, fortnightly and monthly) by way of equal instalments with the aim of repaying the loan principal and interest over the term of borrowing. The amount of the agreed repayment is established at loan application stage, in light of the term, frequency of instalments and interest rate prevailing at the time the Term Loan is granted.

 

2. Interest

 

The interest rate is determined by the Credit Union’s Board of Directors and if we change our interest rate we will publish the new rate by way of a notice in the Credit Union offices, Credit Union Newsletter, Credit Union Statement and Credit Union Website. Interest is calculated on the Term Loan Account on a daily basis on the balance outstanding at the end of the day.

 

3. Default

 

If a borrower fails to pay a loan instalment or fails to perform or observe any of the terms and conditions of the Loan agreement or if any information provided by the Accountholder is incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate or untrue, the Credit Union may serve the borrower with a notice of default and “call in” the loan.If an Accountholder continues to default on Loan instalments, without the permission of the Credit Union, the Accountholder may be subject to Legal Action by the Credit Union to recover the debt due, including interest.

 

4. Other terms and conditions

 

The Credit Union reserves the right to vary the lending terms & conditions if there is any relevant material change in the prevailing legal, tax or regulatory conditions or to enhance the security of the services provided by the Credit Union.

 

The Credit Union reserves the right at all times to introduce new conditions or to vary or amend existing conditions by giving at least one month’s notice thereof to the Accountholder, by whatever means deemed appropriate by the Credit Union which could include a notice display in the Credit Union Offices.

All borrowers will receive a loan agreement from Health Services Staffs Credit Union at the time of the loan application. The loan agreement will provide the borrower with detailed information on all the Credit Union’s lending terms and conditions.
