Each year we sponsor a number of charities, local, national and international both directly and through sponsorship member involvement in charitable events.

2008 HSSCU support Fighting Blindness
This year HSSCU is proud to partner with Fighting Blindness to support their fundraising efforts through sponsorship of their walking challenge 12-14 September - The Wicklow Challenge.
We have also donated money to fund the redesign of this charity's website Fighting Blindness which is now live.
2007 Sponsorship of resource for bereavement
HSSCU sponsors new resource for helping people cope with the grief of bereavement. Irish Stories of Loss and Hope is a beautifully produced book of art, stories, and poetry by many well-known and not so well-known Irish people who share their own personal stories of how they coped, giving hope and support to readers.
